Leap of Faith

Synopsis

An actress undertakes her desire of directing her first movie, without a budget or any production company funding her project. She gathers a group of professional actors and actresses, and proposes a project based on a very particular experience: stepping on their fears through a metaphorical ‘leap of faith’. As the project advances, individual conflicts will arise affecting the shoot, making the movie crew wonder whether or not they should go on. Will they take the leap of faith with all its consequences?

Director’s Bio

Bibiana Monje in an actress, director and playwright. After graduating in Textual Interpretation in the R.E.S.A.D. of Madrid, she completed her education in a variety of workshops and courses like The Michael Chekhov Acting (New York) and Acting and auditioning for film (New York) and also attending international schools like the Roy Hart Centre (Pantheatre, France). She specialized in fields like classic and contemporary theatre. modern singing and dance, iniciating a long experience in performing arts. Among her theatre plays, Pogüerful, Lacura and El Principito al desnudo stand out, and she has directed the short films Drimgerl (written by, and starring her) and Mala Siesta (with Carolina África and Bárbara Lennie). Leap of Faith is her first long documentary feature.
